The Fourth of July

Today, as Americans, we celebrate the signing of the declaration of independence and the founding of the United States. The
declaration makes one powerful statement after another and sets in place the principle truth about our country when it states,

 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

 

With all of our faults and all of our current problems, this day is one in which we should all stop, take time to reflect, and realize that the guiding principles set for in this statement are what make this country the freest and most blessed country on the planet. I want to celebrate this day by saying thank you to everyone whose desire it is to provide the continuation of this freedom and to warn those who do not, that, in the words of the fictitious President in the movie Independence Day, “We will not go quietly into the night!” We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!”

 

Happy 4th of July!! May God continue to bless America as she lives up to the principles laid out in the declaration of independence!
